    About the Position:

    The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all construction activities. This role involves providing leadership, direction, and support to site supervisors and personnel, ensuring that work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards. The Construction Superintendent will work closely with project management to achieve project objectives and deliver successful outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all construction activities to ensure that work is executed in accordance with project schedules, specifications, and quality standards.
    • Develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and performance against established benchmarks and objectives.
    • Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to optimise resource allocation, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
    • Oversee and manage employee performance through regular feedback, performance appraisals, and goal setting aligned with company objectives.
    • Ensure compliance with Australian employment laws, regulations, and industry standards related to employment, fair work practices, anti-discrimination, and harassment policies by seeking regular consultation from HR and project management.
    • Implement and enforce company and client policies and procedures consistently and fairly.
    • Proactively address and resolve conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary issues within the team in adherence to Catalpa guidelines.

    About you:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction superintendent role, with demonstrated success in managing large-scale civil construction mining projects.
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices, particularly in the mining sector.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
    • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
