    About the role

    This labouring position plays a key role in assisting the Network Service Delivery team provide an effective water operation and maintenance service. You will coordinate site access, permits, safety and statutory permissions to perform maintenance activities, collect and report operational data as required.

    It is a requirement to participate in the roster and callout arrangements and deliver asset repair functions.

    This is an interesting and varied role. Opportunities to progress are available in this area after learning the ropes, allowing you to succeed towards your chose career path.

    About you

    Mandatory requirements of the role include:

    • Current "MR" class driver's licence
    • Ability to work as part of a team of employees to ensure that interruptions to water supply to Council customers is averted or rectified quickly and efficiently
    • Strong work ethic
    • Construction Industry White Card QLD)
    • Requirement to participate in the on-call roster and overtime as required

    Desirable requirements of the role include:

    • Vac Unit training certificate
    • Traffic Management Implementation course accredited
    • Successfully completed asbestos awareness training and have suitable experience in removal of asbestos piping
    • Dogman or Crane Chaser certification
    • Forklift certification
