    Responsibilities

    In this role, your responsibilities will include:

    • Designing and creating illustrated game content utilising a wide variety of software applications.

    • Preparation and handover of art assets to software engineers for game-engine implementation.

    • Being an advocate for artistic excellence.

    • Actively participating in and contributing to creative brainstorming meetings.

    • Following digital asset management and version control practises.

    • Being passionate about games, emerging art-trends and technology

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • 5+ years of professional Illustration experience working in a game development studio or other creative production environment.

    • An amazing portfolio of work that showcases your craft and passion.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • A wonderful eye for detail and quality.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Expert knowledge of industry standard applications.
    o Adobe CC Suite

    • Background in traditional art and drawing.

    • A highly talented craftsperson: you are amazing with producing preliminary concept art and character designs and taking them all the way through to final polished art; illustrating a wide variety of characters, animals, creatures, objects and environments across a range of art genres. You are an expert in composition and layout, colour, shape and form, lighting, final rendering and polish.

    • Experience with liaising with animators and preparing your files ready for exporting to other applications for animation.

    • A proactive self-starter and an awesome team collaborator

    Extra Bonus Points If You Have Experience With:

    • Typography and Logo Design.

    • ZBrush.

    • Substance.

    • Branding.

    • UI/UX.

    • Development experience creating assets for games/applications using Unity or Unreal.

    • Prior gaming industry experience.
