    About the role

    We are on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Network Engineer, to join our Network Operations team to identify, implement, maintain and monitor networking solutions alongside mentoring junior network engineers. This role is offered as a 12 months fixed term contract with potential extensions or permanency.

    Key Responsibilities include :

  • Install, configure, and maintain data network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, WAN optimizers,
  • Monitor performance and ensure network availability and reliability.
  • Maintain all IP addressing, including assignment of subnets, IP pools and VLAN allocations.
  • Document network and security policies, procedures, design and configurations.
  • Perform 3rd tier support for internal customers.
  • Assist with incident response.
  • Upgrade and maintain infrastructure and systems during appropriate outage windows, which may be outside of business hours.

    • About you

    To be successful in this role, you will have extensive knowledge and experience working with enterprise networks combined with with high-level analytical and troubleshooting skills and expert level abilities in maintaining the stability and performance of the network across the organisation.

    Knowledge and Experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of IP networking and networking protocols.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and DNS technologies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Cisco products (switch/routing, UCS, WLCs, Meraki, ThousandEyes, ISE, Prime, etc)
  • Demonstrated knowledge in network principles and technical understanding of IT security related technologies.
  • Strong Communication skills, including the ability to write procedural, process and reporting documentation.
