    Job purpose and Main Tasks

    Leading the Australian PM and Service teams, the Head of Operations Australia is responsible for the complete operational performance. The role is responsible for ensuring that the business is operating safely with profitability in line with agreed budgets, high levels of customer satisfaction, and following all Nordex standards and procedures.

    The Head of Operations has the overall operational responsibility for the Project Execution and Service performance.

    Main Tasks

  • Ensure and lead the operational team to the achievement of the KPIs of the project and the fulfilment of the contract, including management of subcontractors.
  • Ensure suitable subcontractors are identified, developed, and properly engaged in order to support tendering phases and subsequent execution and service performance
  • Responsible for operational service performance in the area in accordance with targets and KPIs
  • Responsible for ensuring that the business is operation safely with profitability in line with agreed budgets and high levels of customer satisfactions
  • Understand, manage and execute contractual scope
  • First point of contact for escalated customer issues
  • Responsible for HSE performance in the area
  • Ensure compliance with global standards and processes as well as local rules and regulations
  • Other tasks

  • Close cooperation with local Sales and Project Management, HSE and Managing Director
  • Working with other initiatives to improve competitiveness
  • Further tasks related to managing the operations in both Project Execution and the service organization
  • Commercial and technical customer and subcontractor negotiations
  • Career / Job experience

  • More than 10 years in wind farm project execution and service management for wind turbine OEM
  • Experience of working in matrix organizations
  • Experience managing P&L's
  • Strong Operational skills with experience in managing remote teams
  • Experience in working in a Customer focused environment where confidentiality is critical
  • Education and qualification

  • Engineering degree and / or;
  • Project Management certification
  • Personal profile

  • Willingness and ability to enhance existing knowledge
  • Experienced in client and contractor management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
