Goulburn Valley Water (GVW) provides quality water and wastewater services to 54 towns in North Central Victoria. Our core purpose is to deliver safe, reliable and affordable water services to residential, commercial and industrial customers.

Reporting to the Manager – Digital Operations you will play a key role within the Digital Operations team where you will have the opportunity to work on different IT functions including the help desk and system administration.

You will be responsible for providing second and third level technical support to our employees, managing service requests and a range of queries from initiation to resolution, ensuring customer satisfaction and minimal disruption to their work.

Qualifications in Information Technology, and a background working in a similar technical support role are required. This intersects with your proven collaborative, interpersonal and communication skills, along with your logical approach to problem solving.

About your new role...

With previous experience in a technical support role, you have an important role to play within the team and to the greater organisation in providing first and second level help desk support to our employees, contractors and Board Members.

The role includes maintenance and rollout of various digital equipment platforms, problem identification and troubleshooting, incident escalation management and the management of hardware and software assets.

With proven help desk support experience and knowledge and experience in Windows, Microsoft Teams, and Apple Products you will be responsible for the ongoing training and support of Digital Operations support team members.

You will be joining a stable and multidisciplinary team who are based at the Shepparton Administration Centre in the Fryers Street CBD precinct. You will be afforded the ability to work flexibly, in line with GVW's flexible working policy.

About you...

To be considered for this role you must have demonstrated some of the following:

• Certificate 4 or above in Information Technology and/or more than 5 years' experience in a technical support role
• Substantial experience providing first and second level help desk support.
• Sound knowledge and experience administering Windows computers, Microsoft Teams, iPhones and iPads
• Experience in Windows Active Directory environment and developing and deploying and SOEs.
• Experience in developing and updating system documentation.
• Experience in IT Service Management best practices.
• Tech savvy, data driven and a vibrant team member.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with stakeholders both face to face and remotely.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage varied and conflicting demands to agreed standards and timelines in a busy environment.
• Get a buzz out of problem solving and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about providing a positive customer experience.
• Strong OHS commitment and focus.

• Classification GVW3: $75,536 – $92,155 + super (salary starting point is dependent upon relevant qualifications, skills and experience)
