    • Bus in and out from Townsville in company time

    About the role

    The Geology Technician position is an instrumental role that is responsible to accurately collect, collate and process geological data and ensure the Mine Geology and Exploration Teams receive data in a timely manner. Key result areas in this role include:

    • Core cutting, photography, sample collection & dispatch
    • Accurate data entry and attention to detail
    • Maintain Core yard, equipment and consumables to a high standard
    • Supervise earthworks of drill pads and tracks
    • Ensure compliance with environmental procedures and standards

    About you

    • Prior experience as a Geology Technician
    • Current C Class Manual Drivers Licence & Forklift Certificate
    • Commitment to working safely at all times
    • Basic computer literacy is essential
    • Be a self-driven individual with exceptional time management skills

    Mt. Carlton Operation is a gold mining and processing operation located 150km south-west of Townsville, Queensland, on the traditional lands of the Birriah People. It has been in operation since 2013 and holds a proven track record of safety, profitability, and Ore Reserve replenishment.

    Mt Carlton provides a bus in/bus out service for our employees, with transport operating several days a week. On site there is comfortable accommodation with fully catered meals, gym and sporting facilities.
