    The day to day
    ALS Geochemistry in Kalgoorlie is seeking a Senior Technical Administrator to support the operations of a fast-paced minerals preparation and analytical laboratory.

    This is a Full-Time varied position, where you will perform all work order and write up tasks in our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) ensuring accuracy. As a Senior in the team, you will undertake more complex decisions on the assignment of suitable method codes, correction of invoicing and credits. This role will also assist with client enquiries and queries and prepare and generate quotes with the support of our Business Development team.

    Hands-on training will be provided in various areas of the laboratory and preparation sections to gain an understanding of the operations of the facilities.

    The successful applicant will be required to work on a 3 days Day Shifts (7am – 4pm), 3 days Afternoon Shift (9am – 6pm), then 3 days off.

    This is a residential role, and you must be residing or planning on relocating to the Kalgoorlie Boulder Region with current Australian work rights to be considered.

    The essentials

  • Good alpha/numeric skills
  • Strong language skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients
  • Computer skills, and experience with Excel, Word, and OneNote
  • Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to collect, interpret and manage data efficiently and accurately
  • Experience within a laboratory environment would be advantageous and highly regarded
  • A proven ability to retain large amounts of information is essential
  • A hands-on attitude to a variety of tasks
  • Customer service experience or aptitude
  • Well presented with a friendly team manner
  • Reliable, and flexible with working hours as business needs dictate from time to time
  • Experience within a laboratory environment would be advantageous and highly regarded
  • Be able to work to deadlines and within a team
  • Geology, Chemistry, or Earth Science qualifications would be desirable
