    • More than 20 days of other leave, including sick leave and carers' leave
    • Hybrid working arrangements.

    The Division

The System Response and Transformation Division (SRT) drives high performance and assurance at a system level by providing senior leaders with visibility and assurance of system performance and improvement initiatives. This is achieved by ensuring strategic responses and projects are delivered within expectations; collecting and analysing data and reporting on performance; and overseeing the development of transformation opportunities in line with the Department's strategic intent.

The Division's Business Intelligence team has responsibility for the Department's data strategy. This includes the continuous improvement of data displays for senior leadership to support understanding of performance, and data analysis to inform decision making related to the delivery of the Department's strategic intent and high-performing operations.

    The Branch

The Business Intelligence (BI) team is a newly established function in the System Assurance directorate, with passionate and innovative team members that are eager to push boundaries and try new things. The team works closely with the broader SRT division to identify, design and create useful and sustainable data products for our corporate executive and senior leadership groups, to assist with strategic decision making and system level monitoring. In addition, the team is involved in supporting teams to re-engineer business processes to support new ways of working. The team also plays a role in influencing and driving data related strategy across the organisation.

The team enjoys modern ways of working including hybrid work arrangements, working in agile sprints, and highly values working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation. The Team has established and coordinates the Department's Power BI Community of Practice.

    The Role

As the Business and Systems Analyst, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design, implementation and review of business processes and business systems. One of the core tools administered by the team for broader use across the organisation, is called Promapp. Promapp is a business process mapping platform that allows teams to easily document, visualise and improve their business processes. In this role you will be the primary administrator of Promapp and will provide system administration and user support for end users. You will also support the broader BI team by participating in testing of systems, data analysis, the development of data-related products using Power BI and uplifting organisational data literacy, including supporting the Power BI Community of Practice.

This role is suited to someone with excellent attention to detail; a good understanding of technical systems administration; well-developed time management skills; the ability to work productively with a range of stakeholders; and someone with experience, or a desire, to work in agile teams.

    Cultural Diversity

The Department is an equal opportunity employer and encourages people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and persons from culturally diverse backgrounds to apply.
