Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join a leading agricultural research company with local and international presence. Based in Toowoomba, Eurofins is seeking an experienced Glasshouse Technician to expand our current operations. Candidates with previous experience in glasshouse and nursery operations will be viewed favourably.

You will be required to effectively conduct the day to day operations of the glasshouse facility on behalf our clients with the support of the Glasshouse Manager.

The role of Glasshouse Technician will consist of:

• Assisting in running a post entry quarantine glasshouse facility in accordance with the appropriate Department of Agriculture regulations , business's policy and relevant SOPs.
• Preparing pots for planting
• Sanitisation of areas and equipment
• Fertilizer and chemical application
• Harvesting
• Threshing and packaging of seed

Responsibilities

• Work in accordance to applicable Health and Safety legislation, OHS policy and relevant procedures, SOP, or documented guidance or instructions.
• Partake in all training and competency assessments required for their position.
• Ensure that Quality Systems and Policies/Procedures are adhered to.
