    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Design Engineering Manager for a highly successful and progressive Manufacturing company predominantly specialising in innovative exhaust, sound suppression, emission and thermal reduction solutions for Heavy Duty Diesel Equipment for the Resources, Power Generation, Transport, Earthmoving and Industrial industries globally.

    In this role, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and implementing multiple engineering projects related to manufacturing footprint projects, innovations and/or major investment measures in the various design and implementation phases with a focus on process engineering equipment and systems.

    Key Responsibilities
    Overseeing engineering projects and teams
    Delivering engine technology, specifically with remapping, repowering and emission controls in alignment with company and customer requirements
    Strategise, design, and manage projects at every stage, ensuring that the projects are completed efficiently, correctly, and on schedule
    Directing, reviewing and approving any changes to product design
    Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams
    Lead research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes.
    Consult with clients to prepare project specifications
    Liaise closely with the executive and operations team to develop company wide systems, protocols and procedures for the engineering group Key Requirements
    Previous experience as an Engineering Manager/ Project Management or in Senior Leadership
    Exposure to engines, rebuilds, reengineering and components
    Ability to lead teams in various locations, projects and work towards required timeframes
    Detail-oriented with the strong mechanical 3 D CAD knowledge (Solidworks), modelling and design concepts
    Organisational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously
    Understanding of manufacturing processes
    Relevant qualifications in Engineering, HDF and/or BMW
