    ASD 4, 5, 6 & ASD EL- System Integrations Engineer and Specialist Full time

    Total Salary Package:
    $77,788 - $152,552 (+ super) Mission Data (MD) Division within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) is responsible for providing the foundational data capabilities to support all of ASD's functions.

    We do this via the provision of data platforms and services, management of ASD's mission data, and providing complex analytic development and support, including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities.

    All roles within MD require extensive knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policies requirements.

    THE ROLEA System Integrations Engineer/Specialist is responsible for ensuring that various software applications, systems, and components within an organization can work together seamlessly.

    This involves analyzing requirements, designing integration solutions, configuring systems, conducting testing, and troubleshooting issues to ensure smooth operations.
    Ability to work with different programming languages, API's, middleware and databases to achieve integration.

    • With supervision, perform assigned modular tasks and respond to inquiries from stakeholders.
    • Perform simple technical activities associated with improving system Integration.
    • Develop knowledge of System integration practices.

    ASD5 Senior Systems Integration Engineer:

    • With limited supervision, deliver assigned broader tasks and provide guidance to stakeholders.
    • Actively engage with stakeholders to ensure system reliability, manage expectations and develop capability improvements
    • Maintain a sound working knowledge of Integration Engineering practices.

    ASD6 Systems Integration Specialist:

    • Take responsibility for end-to-end delivery of assigned projects by coordinating with stakeholders.
    • Contribute to the development of reliability and resilience processes.
    • Analyse ASD capabilities to identify systems for improvement.
    • Plan and develop improvements to ASD capabilities.

    Executive Level 1 Senior Systems Integration Specialist:

    • Work under broad direction to improve the availability of services.
    • Perform a leadership role and manage a team of Systems Integration engineers.
    • Engage with key stakeholders across the organization to develop and improve reliability processes.
    • Coordinate with divisional stakeholder, develop integration standards and frameworks for the organization.
    • Have a deeper understanding of various technologies, architectures and industry best practices.

    RELEVANT EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING:
    Along with Strong written/verbal communication skills, experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

    • Network Design and troubleshooting.
    • Cloud engineering.
    • Proficiency with Java, XML, SQL.
