    What you'll be doing

    We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our technical support team. You'll interact directly with clients and other team members to support technology-based solutions. You'll be responsible for the support of server infrastructure, within contracted time frames and service level agreements. This support will involve remote assistance over the phone and ad-hoc onsite visits when required and participate in an on-call roster for after-hours support.

    Your role will also involve:

    • Operate and maintain the desktop environment and technologies.

    • Manage endpoint devices using Intune, Autopilot, and SCCM.

    • Collaborate with software delivery teams, project managers, business stakeholders, and vendors to develop strategies and policies.

    • Create, maintain, and deploy Standard Operating Environments (SOE) with Windows systems and security updates.

    • Provide occasional out-of-hours support for critical situations and system upgrades.

    • Offer 3rd Level technical support to Production & Operations teams when needed.

    SOE with application packaging skills

    • Develop MS SOE (server and Desktop)

    • Task sequence development and troubleshooting

    • Security hardening in context of OS and application

    • Package applications to integrate into the SOE or Deploy post deployment native and streaming apps (Citrix) MSI\MSIX\App-V

    • Conduct advanced scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Visual Basic)

    • MECM skill set SOE Deployment, software deployment including Intune

    • Configure Active Directory group policy

    • Maintain user experience (e.g., user profiles for consistent experience)

    • Diagnose Windows application deployment issues and coordinate package improvements/fixes

    Citrix

    • Citrix platform administration including Citrix Cloud, ADC, Studio, Director, Vpx200, Netscaler and the provisioning/maintenance of master images

    • Citrix DaaS and VDI

    • Multi Datacentre HA environments

    • Provisioning or maintenance of master images

    • Australian Citizen with NV1 Security Clearance or ability to obtain one

    What will make you successful in this role?


    • Experience with documentation including Design, as built, SOPs, Change control etc.

    • Ability to trouble shoot, conduct root cause analysis and remediation activities

    • Working knowledge of standard ITIL process, Incident, Change, Problem and configuration management

    • Operate and maintain the desktop environment and technologies.

    • Manage endpoint devices using Intune, Autopilot, and SCCM.

    • Collaborate with software delivery teams, project managers, business stakeholders, and vendors to develop strategies and policies.

    • Create, maintain, and deploy Standard Operating Environments (SOE) with Windows systems and security updates.

    • Citrix DaaS/Virtual Apps and Desktops Administration and configuration

    • Citrix Netscaler Administration and configuration

    • User profile management via UPM, FSLogix, and Ivanti DesktopNow

    • Windows Server Systems Administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Patch Management

    • Knowledge with Microsoft Server technology products

    • Managing virtual environments utilising infrastructure such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V

    • Management of physical server environments such as Cisco Unified Computing (UCS)

    • Sound knowledge of backup and disaster recovery methodologies using tools such as Veeam, NetBackup and CommVault.

    • Provide occasional out-of-hours support for critical situations and system upgrades.

    • Offer 3rd Level technical support to Production & Operations teams when needed.
