    This is an exciting opportunity for a professional andenthusiastic individual to join our dedicated team and contributeto meaningful outcomes for current and former serving AustralianDefence Force members and their families living in SouthAustralia.

    We are seeking an experienced Grants and Administration Officerwith excellent administration and corporate services skills, aswell as stakeholder engagement experience, to join the team. Reporting to the Director Veterans SA, this role will beresponsible for provision of timely and professional grant fundingadvice and distribution, executive and administrative support forVeterans SA.

    The successful applicant will provide day to day support to thewider Veterans SA team as well as working closely with the Chair ofthe Veterans Advisory Council, providing secretariatsupport.

    This is a full-time position for up to 12 months, an opportunity tobe part of a small and high achieving team that strives to make apositive impact with and for the South Australian veterancommunity. You will have the opportunity to have input into thecreation of new approaches across the South Australian governmentand lead Veterans SA initiatives in collaboration with thecommunity.

    A rare opportunity for a highly skilled andself-driven Grants and Administration officer, full time for a12-month contract. We are seeking an experienced Grants andAdministration Officer with excellent administration and corporateservices skills, as well as stakeholder engagement experience, tojoin the team. Reporting to the Director Veterans SA,this role will be responsible for provision of timely andprofessional grant funding advice and distribution, executive andadministrative support primarily for Veterans SA and contributingto administrative support for the wider Defence SA team.

    Veterans SA was established in 2008 as the first statejurisdiction to recognise the importance of a veterans'affairs portfolio. Veterans SA is dedicated to advocacy for currentand former serving members of the Australian Defence Force andtheir families

    We work across all levels of government with private industry andwith ex-service organisations and associations to advise, informand educate on the unique nature of military service as it relatesto the uniformed member and to their families, and provideinformation and guidance on the value and skills that this cohortof people can bring to the community.

    We also play a role in sharing information about services, supportsand programs that are available to veterans across the State of SA,and we provide ministerial advice to the Minister's Office and theSouth Australian Government in relation to veterans' matters, aswell as administering and distributing grant funds and providingsecretariat support for the Minister's Veterans AdvisoryCouncil.

    Role Purpose/Context:

    The Grants and Administration Officer is responsiblefor managing the provision of timely and professional grantfunding, and administrative support for Veterans SA.

    To assist Veterans SA to reach it outcomes, it will be necessaryfor the Grants and Administration Officer to:

    • Undertake general administrative duties including recordsmanagement, printing and collating documents.
    • Manage Veterans SA enquiries inbox in conjunction withother Veterans SA staff.
    • Provide support to team members for key activitiesincluding but not limited to:
      • Secretariat support for Veterans AdvisoryCouncil
      • Take Minutes for the Risk and Audit meetings.
      • Provide logistical support for and attendevents.
    • Co-ordinate and administrator Veterans SA's grantprograms.
    • Administrator of Anzac Day Commemoration Fund.
    • Receipt of applications via SmartyGrants, collate andprepare applications for assessment panel.
    • Process accounts/invoices received – using Baswaresystem.
    • Administer Veterans SA staff credit card expenses throughANZ Expense Manager System.
    • Book travel for Veterans SA staff via QBT Portal and FleetBookings system.

    The Grants and Administration Officer will have a primary focuson the Veterans SA portfolio but will provide support to the widerDefence SA team on an as needs basis.

    Key Selection Criteria:

    • Experience in providing confidential administrativeservices including booking meetings and taking accurate minutesand records management.
    • General financial experience including reconciling invoicesand purchase orders, travel expenditure and preparing monthlycredit card statements for payment and
    • Experience in organising travel arrangements andaccommodation.
    • Experience in the compilation of reports, agendas, anddiscussion papers
    • Experience in providing event support.

    Special Conditions
