    The Superintendent ICT HR & SD Systems is accountable for the direct oversight, maintenance, projects and governance of the Human Resources and Sustainable Development systems. The incumbent is required to review and manage software applications, the installation and daily maintenance of applications as well as the associated network and hardware installations required for optimal system and process functioning.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Bachelor's Degree in Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
    • SAP-certified or have previous working knowledge of the SAP HCM module with prior exposure to SuccessFactors
    • Functional knowledge of the HR value chain and supporting HR business processes
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in the ICT environment with at least 3 years' experience in supervisory capacity
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant's suitability for employment

    Key Competencies:

    • Advanced safety leadership capability with proven safety campaign delivery record
    • Accomplished team and people leader with advanced inter and intra-team collaboration and, sound spoken and written English communication skills
    • Advanced understanding of operational working culture and dealing with operational delivery challenges
    • Ability to cope with ambiguity with high personal resilience and change adaptability
    • Proven track record in managing and integrating database specifications.
    • Proven track record in ensuring the design and implementation of optimal system maintenance and governance protocols
    • Financial acumen (i.e., planning, budgeting and cost management)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Actively participate in and lead interventions aimed at contributing to a culture of Zero Harm by adhering to and ensuring compliance with specified legislation, SHE policies and procedures and, operational standards, instructions and governance requirements
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource (HR) and Sustainable Development (SD) systems landscape ensuring optimal systems and support
    • Manage the rollout/release plans for both new applications and upgrades to existing applications
    • Regularly review, assess, and adapt the applicable systems operating landscape and long-term objectives to support the evolving and assessed business requirements while ensuring alignment with agreed solution architecture
    • Remain abreast of emerging industry, vendor and peer group developments, technologies and trends to influence optimal system design and delivery
    • Manage the governance, risks, compliance, architecture, standards and security of the systems and recommend applicable updates to standards and policies
    • Participate in relevant ICT forums and meetings to deliver relevant and standardised system governance, performance, projects, financials, people management, etc.
    • Compile, recommend and manage maintenance, financial and capital budgets for optimal and cost-effective systems functioning
    • Build strong collaborative relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure appropriate service level agreements are in place and delivered to while ensuring appropriate remedial actions are instituted to enhance third-party delivery and support
