Our client is a leading alternative asset manager, specialising in providing capital and funding solutions to companies, entrepreneurs, and developers. They are currently seeking an Associate Director to join their Deal Team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of loans, from inception through to repayment. The successful candidate will have the chance to work closely with senior executives on strategic initiatives that support the growth and performance of the business.
What you'll do:
As an Associate Director, you will be at the forefront of our client's operations. You will be apart of a group of Associates and Analysts in the Deal Team, managing a portfolio of loans from inception through to repayment. Your role will involve undertaking financial modelling, research, and credit analysis to support directors and senior originators in making recommendations. You will also manage the credit approval and loan documentation process, as well as maintain client relationships throughout the life of the loan.
Perform an analytical/execution role on investment opportunities including origination, deal assessment, execution and management of a loan portfolio through to repayment
Analyse and execute loan transactions with accuracy, identifying key risks and mitigants
Assist in managing relevant stakeholders and develop positive relationships within the team
Work closely with senior executives on strategic initiatives supporting business growth
Provide high levels of service and initiative to help achieve company goals and targets
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Associate Director position brings a wealth of experience in finance or a related field. With over six years of experience in roles such as accounting, valuations, property or project finance, corporate finance or insolvency, you have developed strong analytical skills and an eye for detail. Your ability to identify risks and devise mitigation strategies is second to none. As a leader, you have demonstrated experience managing teams effectively.
Degree in relevant field such as finance, accounting, economics, commerce or law
+6 years of work experience in a similar/subordinate role with transferable skills
High level of numeracy and financial modelling experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with attention to detail
Ability to identify risks and mitigation strategies
Experience in mentoring a junior analysts/managers
