Sustainable Salons offer innovative, technology-enabled resource recovery solutions to the salon industry (hair and beauty salons, dermal clinics and pet grooming businesses).

With a warehouse based in Sydney and six partner depots throughout Australia and NZ, Sustainable Salons rescue up to 95% of salon resources from landfill and donate 100% of proceeds from the sale of materials to local communities and charities.

About the Role

After significant growth and transformation in recent years, SSANZ have an upcoming vacancy for a resource recovery / operations specialist to guide the business on the optimisation of their tech-enabled warehouse and partner depots (including improving operational and business systems, compliance, analysis and reporting processes) to monitor business activities and performance in all aspects of resource recovery operations across Australia and New Zealand.

About the ideal candidate

If you have:

• Experience with optimising a tech-enabled warehouse in a scale-up organisation ($10-$100 million turnover).
• Experience with identifying the resources required to run an efficient warehouse, leading and motivating a team.
• Experience with enhancing performance analysis and reporting processes
• Good decision-making skills and response to high-pressure situations
• Experience with introducing standardised processes across multiple sites an advantage
• Ability to conduct research for special projects, respond in a timely manner to inquiries, and present written/ oral briefings
• Experience with working with employees with a disability/ supported employees an advantage (COVID-19 vaccination is required).
• Knowledge of relevant OH&S, IR, ER and RTW legislation
• A strong interest in resource recovery and sustainability

• Base salary up to $140,000 plus superannuation
• Work from the warehouse 2-3 days per week and the remainder from home (or work 5 days per week from the warehouse, it's flexible)
