    The Productivity and Automation Competency Centre forms a core part of Murdoch University's digital journey and will have a direct impact to delivering against the strategic themes.

    This group will provide technical leadership and demonstrate business understanding that will allow them to continue to improve processes and enable staff and students to have a seamless experience in their respective environments.

    The Role The Manager Productivity and Automation provides strategic technology direction, leading a team of professionals responsible for software solutions that enhance the staff experience at Murdoch.

    Responsible for feature enhancements, maintenance and support of our productivity, automation and integration environments that support and connect the University's core systems and functions.

    Key responsibilities for the role include: Lead and manage all aspects of operational, service, project, and resource management for the relevant Competency Centres team to the University community, Develop working relationships with a variety of University staff and senior management at all levels within the University, Maintain a prioritised backlog of work and resource allocation to ensure regular value add delivery and support across Murdoch, Provide strategic technology leadership for the key integration, productivity and automation platforms Lead the lifecycle of support and development for the team, including minor feature enhancements, application maintenance, software patching, application testing and major version upgrades.

    What you'll bring to this role Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency along with extensive experience in managing enterprise product, platform, or software support teams, Demonstrable delivery experience within integration, productivity, and automation environments, utilizing Azure Integration Services (e.g., Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, and Azure Event Grid), Azure Power Apps, and Office 365 automation tools to streamline processes and enhance productivity.

    Experience with Integration technologies such as APIs, SOA, web services, and middleware.

    Demonstrated ability to challenge traditional practices and entrenched methodologies, while effectively influencing others towards embracing innovation and driving continuous improvement within integration, productivity, and automation environments.

    Demonstrable experience in leading teams, empowering others to meet organisational demand and creating high performing environments Knowledge and understanding of productivity, workflow automation and integration, architecture frameworks and their technologies, Experience in complex product/project delivery with a strong grasp of change management, contemporary software delivery lifecycles including waterfall, agile and devops, and experience within ITIL support environments, Excellent planning, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to effectively champion solutions and influence others to achieve strategic outcomes, including the demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative fashion, building trust and credibility through positive working relationships, Applicants should refer to the Position Description for further details on the work requirements, duties, skills and experience required for this role.
