    Nestling in the outer Newcastle area, this company has grown exponentially through its reputation for utilising the most advanced technology to produce highly accurate Precast concrete panels which are manufactured on-site.

    Specialising in precast 3D concrete drawings which allow for seamless integration with other trades for example electrical and plumbing the ability to check for clash detection. Teamed with onsite precast concrete manufacture, together with being able to provide customers with structural steel drawings and installation, this not only saves the builder time and money, making the project more efficient. This has resulted in growth in the company who now seek to appoint an experienced TEKLA Drafter to complement their existing staff.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Reporting to the Director, you will need to be a highly experienced Precast Concrete Drafter, who has a proven track record in running projects on schedule, within budget and to the highest of quality standards.

    Key tasks & responsibilities

    • Complete Tekla 3D Modelling and Workshop Drawings for Precast Concrete elements of a project.
    • Complete Concrete Tilt Panel drawings
    • Conduct site measures for custom made elements of a design to fit site requirements.
    • Interpret architectural, engineering, hydraulic and civil plans to complete the design.
    • Liaise with customers, designers, architects, engineers and interfacing trades to ensure that all elements are appropriately integrated into the design.
    • Delivering to the agreed schedules for all projects.
    • Ensure the Project Managers are informed of any changes (variations, EOT's and claims) to minimise commercial exposure and maximise profitability where possible.
    • Complete estimating pricing projects on projects and variations.
    • Production Coordination and planning.

    Qualifications & experience required:

    • Trade, Diploma in Construction Management or Civil/Structural Engineering related discipline.
    • Advanced proficiency with Tekla structures software.
    • Advanced knowledge of Concrete Precast and Steel Fabrication.
    • 10 years of experience working within a drafting office servicing a Precast Concrete market.
    • Innovative, creative, and lateral thinker.
    • Strong knowledge of building codes.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate to a variety of stakeholders and clients.
    • This is a full time role requiring a commitment of 38 hours per week, due to the nature of the liaison with the fabrication team, will need to be based on site
