    Description

    Join our Operations and Maintenance team as an M&E Site Engineer and become a key part of our business. Working closely with the Maintenance team, you will be the eyes and ears of the road and tunnel network. Working alongside Transurban Service Providers, you'll provide assurance that the delivery of maintenance services across our networks are performed to the required standard, maximising safe lane availability and minimising disruption to road users.

    Maintenance works will be delivered through a range of delivery partners, but underpinned by a Core Service Partner. This role will work 'hand in hand' Transurban Maintenance Delivery Teams, Core Service Partner a to ensure that works undertaken on the assets are to a standard, frequency and quality acceptable to Transurban's standards, the job plan, and any other applicable standards.

    Given some works are expected to be performed outside of peak hours, there will be occasions where you will be required to work night shift.

    The impact you'll have:

    • You'll undertake inspections across the road and tunnel network to identify and report on quality of works, non-conformances, risks, hazards and safety issues
    • You'll have demonstated experience of working with trades professionals on roads, tunnels or oil and gas projects
    • With a focus on safety, you'll attend scheduled maintenance works and tunnel shutdowns to ensure they are in accordance with tunnel agreements and in adherence to the Code of Maintenance Standards
    • Understanding the Scope of Services for each Service Provider, you'll carry out joint inspections across the road and tunnel network to ensure compliance and conformance
    • Supporting the Maintenance Manager, you'll identify maintenance and engineering defects and issues and utilise Transurban's asset maintenance management system to generate work orders for routine and ad hoc maintenance works
    • With a strong stakeholder focus, you'll build relationships with diverse and challenging groups and have the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes

    The talents you'll bring:

    • You'll hold a valid C class driver's licence to access our sites.
    • Hold a valid Constuction White Card
    • A strong technical understanding
    • Degree qualified within an Engineering discipline.
    • You'll have experience with infrastructure construction and maintenance including monitoring and advising on road and tunnel maintenance programs
    • You'll have a demonstrated ability to conduct inspections and audits, particularly in live traffic environments across highly trafficked roads
    • You'll be highly process and detail driven with the ability to check reports and understand and interpret complex documentation
    • You'll have a proven ability in relationship management, including ability to influence and communicate, in written and oral format, to achieve desired outcomes
