    Golding are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior HSE Advisor at the Phosphate Hill Mine located near Mt Isa in central west Queensland. This role will operate on a 5/2 roster , Fly in from Townsville Monday, out Thursday and work from home on Friday.

    Camp accommodation will be provided during the working week.

    Key role tasks:

  • Facilitate and develop risk assessments in alignment with the project's schedule of works;
  • Assist with the development and implementation of training packages, coordinate all site training initiatives, maintaining training and competency records and assist with induction management;
  • Facilitate and conduct site assurance and audit activities inclusive of site and contractor's health and safety management systems;
  • Develop and maintain the project SHE Training Management Plan, Skills Matrix and training schedules;
  • Provide advice to the Project Manager and other project leaders on the implementation and application of the authorised SHE Training Plans for the project
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the application of the Safety and Health, Environment and Training Management Plans on site and provide advice to the Project Manager on possible improvement initiatives;
  • Assess compliance with site access requirements and facilitate inductions;
  • Provide technical input into investigation reports and lead significant investigations where required;
  • Provide advice, education and coaching to project leaders to improve the quality and consistency of SHE activities.
  • Key Capabilities:

  • A diploma or tertiary qualification in OHS
  • Minimum 5 years relevant (site based) experience as a HSE Advisor within the Mining industry
  • Experience with the facilitation of incident investigations, reporting & auditing
  • A strong understanding and working knowledge of HSE legislation, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice
  • Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence
  • Proof of right to work in Australia
  • Confident user of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
