    The Brand and Customer strategy team is a multi-disciplinary team bringing together insights, strategy, brand and sponsorships experts.

    This team is responsible for defining the brand, marketing and customer strategy for Bankwest, utilising customer and campaign insights to navigate through the market context and capitalise on opportunities, ultimately helping realise our ambitious business goals. This also includes the more functional overarching annual planning of setting targets and aligning campaigns, budgets and media to help achieve our defined strategies.

    The Manager Marketing Planning helps define the way the Bankwest brand is brought to life for customers by setting the strategic pathway and direction for all ATL marketing activities.

    Working closely with the Marketing Communications, Digital Experience & Website and Insights experts, you will ensure that activity is being delivered according to best practice, while seeking to constantly optimise and future-proof these activities.

    This is a great opportunity for a media agency professional to widen their perspective beyond pure advertising, looking at all investment, channel relationships, creative effectiveness and performance impact to make a significant difference to channel and go-to-market principles. You will report to Senior Manager Marketing Planning within the Brand & Customer Strategy team.

    Your responsibilities:

    • Support in defining the macro media and channel investment principles. You will track and optimise ATL media investment levels across channels throughout the year to deliver on our strategic objectives and set targets.
    • Provide advice to the team and work with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage our data e.g. brand health tracking, campaign evaluation, website analytics, competitive insights and paid media performance) for better campaign delivery.
    • Work with stakeholders to understand product / business requirements and insights that impact our planned or current activity. Being able to listen out for opportunities to enhance and optimise.
    • Review agency media plans and approach to ensure alignment to overall business and campaign objectives and strategy.
    • Manage channel measurement frameworks to assess value, attribution and support of different channels to define the right channel mix (offline + online) for delivery of a strategic objective.
    • Be the key liaison with the CBA Group Media team as well as key agency and media partners to ensure Bankwest activity is constantly being reviewed in line with the evolving nature of the industry.
    • Proactively identify productivity opportunities to gain better efficiencies and/or controls to mitigate risk.
    • Stay on top of media and marketing trends and insights to ensure we are continuously pushing boundaries and operating at best practice level both inside and outside the category.
    We'd love to hear from people who have:
    • Solid marketing experience, either on agency or client-side with prior experience in channel management, performance analysis, optimisation and strategy development.
    • A high level of intellectual curiosity, a passion for driving results and a strong growth mindset.
    • Ability to discern and anticipate category, customer and media trends to shape the channel strategy.
    • Analytical capability and experience in translating data into information, information into insight and insight into action.
    • Deep understanding of the role of channel, including more performance-based channels of search and affiliates.
    • Experience with digital reporting and attribution platforms and their data outputs with the ability to connect to higher level business and campaign reporting needs.
    • Exceptional communication and influencing skills - ability to give and receive constructive feedback, challenge in the right way with the right intent, and manage stakeholders at every level to ensure alignment around marketing outcomes being developed end executed.
    • Financial services experience (desirable).
    • Tertiary qualification in Marketing or equivalent.
