    About The OpportunityJoin the Programmed Facility Management department as an Audit Officer, playing a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of social housing services across NSW.

    We are seeking an individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence to inspect and audit works performed by subcontractors.

    Based in Wagga Wagga NSW, this permanent full-time role offers the chance for long-term career growth and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to community services.

    Through meticulous auditing and operational oversight, your key responsibilities will include:

    Conducting thorough inspections of customer sites to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality requirements.
    Providing ongoing guidance to supervisors on necessary processes for maintaining compliance.
    Maintaining a comprehensive register of identified risks and ensuring timely reporting.
    Communicating effectively with supervisors, project managers, and customers regarding work progress and requirements.
    Minimizing risks associated with day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with legislative standards.
    Generating formal reports when necessary to document findings and recommendations.

    About YouTo thrive in this role, you will possess a strong understanding of building and engineering principles, coupled with excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    You will ideally have experience in technical auditing within the building industry, along with the following qualifications and attributes:
    Trade qualificationadvantageous, not essential
    Familiarity with Australian standards and the Building Code of Australia is preferred.
    Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
    A valid driver's license.
    Previous experience in technical auditing of building works is highly desirable.
    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
    Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & Powerpoint).
