    Description

Due to growth in the region, we are seeking the employment of a FIFO/DIDO Fire Technician – Electrical to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to join ARA Fire recognised for its strong customer focus in fire protection, service, and minor works.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Working autonomously and within a tight-knit team the FIFO/DIDO Fire Technician - Electrical is supported by administrative and trades persons to work within the Service team providing I&T and D&C duties for many of our key remote regional clients on a 7 days on and 7 days off swing (12 hr hour days) maintaining Fire Detection, EWIS/OWS, VESDA, Pumps, Sprinkler/Deluge/Special Hazards systems, Hydrants, Hose reels and Portables across their facilities.

    Salary : $141,960 p/annum plus super

    Roster : 7/7 (7 days on, 7 days off) (12-hour days)

    Sites: Various within Bowen Basin and CQ

    Duties include:

    • I&T routine compliance testing to AS1851
    • D&C / breakdown works,
    • Close liaison with our client on site personal,
    • Managing your own daily schedule,
    • Scoping of materials for D&C and Breakdown tasks,
    • Completing all on-site paperwork to access locations and perform tasks,
    • Reporting directly to our Rockhampton based Account Manager,
    • Work with ARA Fire Sprinkler Fitter to assist, perform 2 man testing etc.
    • Completion of task within our Service Maintenance software CLARAFY/Simpro.

    Requirements:

    • Electrician Licence or Fire Alarm Trade Certificate
    • Completion of medical inclusive of drug & alcohol test
    • Preference to those that have worked on mine sites previously and who hold QLD STD11 and Coal Board Medical
    • Extinguishing Agent Handling Licence (EAHL- preferable)
