- Validating customised detailed installation designs
- Perform Installation audit including attendance Customer Witness point
- Reviewing and approving material supplied by the installation contractor
- Performing site surveys and inspections & installation audits
- Prepare and conduct required external CCB review with main Customer to approve installation review activities if required
- Review engineering drawings, schematics, tool/bench drawings and other technical documents
- Identifying, assessing & addressing issues relating to installations of cabling and equipment in greenfield sites
- Lead the transition activities between the install contractor and test and commissioning, and managing the responding to main contractor.

About the Company
We are looking for an experienced Testing and Commissioning Engineer with experience in SCADA to join an Engineering and Technology businesson on a 6 month contract role (with the possibility of extension). In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with sub-system designers, attending site interface meetings, and validating installation method statements for complex telecommunications projects and security systems for mass transportation.
About the Role
As a Test and Commissioning Engineer for Communications/SCADA you will collaborate with engineering teams to track status and drive system fixes & Feature Requests, provide technical ability in problem-solving, and communicate with all internal stakeholders, escalating blockers and issues to team leaders. You should also have knowledge of local standards, SCADA, communications and control systems, and experience in the railway field of operational support systems.
Your key activities and responsibilities will include:
About You
To be considered for this role, you must significant experience in construction or a relevant engineering organisation, along with hands-on experience with installation and commissioning of equipment/tools. You should also have the ability to demonstrate basic technical troubleshooting and case management skills and understand local Workplace Health & Safety requirements and relevant regulations surrounding installation. In addition, you should be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Project, Excel, and PowerPoint, and possess excellent written and spoken communication skills & have experience in the railway field of operational support systems: SCADA, telecommunications: DCN, WAN, LAN, WI-FI.
