Role Description:
Paediatric & Multidisciplinary Psychologist
We are seeking a dedicated Psychologist (Paediatric Specialist) for a full-time hybrid role based in northern suberbs of Melbourne VIC. (Doreen & Craigieburn)This position is designed for a clinician who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and is passionate about supporting the developmental and emotional needs of children and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities:

Specialized Assessment & Intervention:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and developmental assessments tailored to children and youth.
Multidisciplinary Integration:

Act as a key clinical link between families, schools, pediatricians, and allied health professionals (OTs, Speech Pathologists) to ensure a 360-degree approach to care.

Innovative Therapy:
Deliver evidence-based interventions while remaining open and enthusiastic toward creative modalities, including Play Therapy, Art-based interventions, and Sandplay.

Care Coordination:
Develop care plans that focus on functional daily living skills, social-emotional regulation, and complex behavior support.

Flexible Delivery:

Utilize our hybrid model to provide a mix of in-clinic sessions and telehealth, maintaining high standards of professional documentation and clinical governance.

Qualifications & Clinical Profile

Paediatric Expertise:

Proven experience (or a strong clinical focus) in child and adolescent psychology, with a deep understanding of developmental stages and early intervention.

Multidisciplinary Synergy:

Demonstrated skill in working within "wrap-around" care teams; you understand that a child's progress is a team effort involving educators and medical specialists.

Creative Mindset:

A genuine openness to—and interest in—undergoing training and supervision in Play Therapy and Creative Therapies to better engage non-verbal or younger clients.

Clinical Foundations:
Strong skills in psychological assessment and the ability to integrate medical-related factors into mental health formulations.

Interpersonal Excellence:

Exceptional empathy and the ability to build quick rapport with children while maintaining professional, consultative relationships with parents and stakeholders.

Registration:
Current registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
