    Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated investment deal team, contributing to the growth of infrastructure projects across Australia. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the analysis and structuring of a broad range of investment decisions.

    What you'll do:

    As an Associate Director, you will be an integral part of our client's investment deal team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading the team, mentoring juniors, undertaking detailed stakeholder and industry research, contributing to the screening of opportunities, preparing investment approval documents, conducting financial modelling, credit analysis, investment analysis, due diligence, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders in modelling financial outcomes of transactions. You will also structure and negotiate terms alongside legal advisors.

    What you bring:

    The ideal Associate Director will bring at least 5 years' post-tertiary experience from an investment bank or similar institution. She will have tertiary qualifications in finance or a related field. Her commercial acumen and insight will be very strong, as will her Excel financial modelling skills. She will have demonstrated experience in writing corporate lending credit proposals and a solid understanding of Project Finance. Her interpersonal and communication skills will be strong, and she will have the ability to work effectively in a small, highly inter-dependent team.

    Requirements:

    At least 5 years' post-tertiary experience in an investment bank, institutional bank, project finance lender or advisor
    Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, engineering, or a related field are preferred
    Very strong commercial acumen and insight
    Advanced Excel financial modelling skills – ideally experience building and auditing models
    Demonstrated experience in writing corporate lending credit proposals with an understanding of Project Finance
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    Ability to work effectively in a small, highly inter-dependent team
