    Open Arms Veterans and Families Counselling is Australia's leading provider of mental health assessment and counselling for Australian veterans and their families. Assistant Directors leverage specialist knowledge and experience gained from a relevant clinical background to lead multidisciplinary teams in the provision of services to Veterans and their families.

    The ideal candidate will have well established connections within Wodonga, and leverage their existing partnerships to support the delivery of a high quality mental health service for Australian veterans and their families.

    They manage the clinical governance processes of Open Arms to develop, maintain, and improve therapeutic practice and services. They support the Regional Director in implementing the business and strategic plan in the region, including identification and application of quality improvement activities, regional application of Open Arms procedures, and evaluation of regional service delivery arrangements.

    Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for an initial specified term of up to18 months.

    A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available over the next 18 months.

    Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period.
