    About the Role:

    We have an exciting opportunity with a permanent, part-time (0.4EFT) Grade 3 Speech Pathologist position with the Gender Clinic at Monash Health. The position is based at the Victorian Pride Centre in St Kilda and may require travel to other locations within Monash Health.

    This new speech pathology position will support our clinicians in assessment of and communication with our neurodivergent client base of youth and adults (16y +). You will contribute to client management plans for gender-affirming care as a valued member of our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and peer workers.

    You will also play a key role in our neurodivergence project. This seeks to improve the accessibility and quality of the neurodivergent client experience, in consultation with those who have a lived experience of autism.

    You identify as an ally or member of the LGBTQI+ community, and a neuro-affirming approach to your clinical practice .You have experience and expertise in working with autistic youth and/or adults. Energetic and resourceful, you will also have:

    • Passion for working with the LGBTQI+ community
    • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work across caseloads
    • Committed to delivering patient centred care and patient advocacy
    • Experience working as part of a wide multidisciplinary team
    • Great communication skills with patients, families and other team members

    What you need:

    • Relevant Speech Pathology qualification
    • Eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework
    • Demonstrated experience as indicated in the position description
