    Description

    To be Successful:

    • Current AHPRA registration without restrictions or conditions.
    • Bachelor's degree or diploma in nursing.
    • Minimum of 12 months experience in a hospital setting.
    • Post-graduate in Mental Health or 12 months recent experience working in Mental Health.
    • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

    About you:

    As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive care to our patients. You will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing assessments, and providing wound care.
    • Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
    • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
    • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure quality patient care.
    • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

    Essential Criteria:

    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
    • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is not essential but highly desirable
