Assistant Store Manager

To drive and grow sales while maintaining the highest level of customer standards and operational performance across retail stores. The Assistant Manager provides leadership, motivation, and coaching to the retail team to:

1. Achieve sales plans and key performance indicators targets
2. Assist in managing wages and base rosters within plan
3. Minimise stock shrinkage and maximise profit contribution
4. Enhance customer service through team training and leadership
5. Develop and improve the skills of the retail team
6. Maintain our company culture and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver retail financial KPIs
• Maximise store performance and profit
• Manage store expenses with a focus on roster control
• Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction at all times
• Implement company policies and training manuals across the store team
• Build a positive and professional work environment
• Identify and deliver training needs for the store team
• Develop internal succession by hiring, training, coaching, and retaining staff
• Recruit and induct new team members to the highest standard
• Cross-train staff to ensure business continuity during absences
• Effectively manage stock through utilising reporting tools
• Plan time efficiently to achieve business objectives
• Coordinate effective rostering and support centre marketing opportunities
• Adhere to merchandising standards to maximise sales.
