- Provide effective leadership to project engineers and contractors.
- Provide planning, design and construction advice to ensure delivery of project outcomes, value for money and best practice is achieved.
- Ensure performance and governance processes are in place and provide timely and accurate information to senior management on program status, risks and opportunities.
- Monitor and report on the progress of works against predetermined time, cost and quality specifications and manage resources across competing priorities to optimise outcomes across the program.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the works, you will be responsible for and determine changes to processes with a view to obtaining continuous improvements in efficiency, productivity and setting strategies.u
- Provide expert advice and guidance on contractual issues and contract performance.
- Ensure the application of all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and quality of outcomes is maintained with respect to all phases of project delivery.
- Act as "Representative of the Principal" for the delivery of contracts as defined and delegated at respective development/implementation project phases.
- Comply with the WH&S Act, Regulations and Department Policy.
- A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position.
- Current holder of Class C driver's license.
- Criminal history screening will be conducted for the recommended person for this role.
- Must be eligible to work in Australia.
- Pre-employment check of serious discipline history for the recommended candidate(s) as a condition of employment.
- Experience in project managing and leading a multi-disciplinary team to successfully deliver large infrastructure projects.
- Experience in program management of a large program of small-to-medium sized projects.
- Experience delivering projects in challenging terrain and environmental conditions.
