    Aurizon and Team Global Express (TGE) have signed a major long-term national contract. This partnership with a cornerstone customer will see Aurizon secure a key position in Australia's growing containerised freight market. The contract provides for Aurizon rail linehaul services connecting the state capitals of Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

    About the role:

    • Operation of locomotives including mainline, shunting and marshalling.
    • Examine and certify trains as ready for departure.
    • Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures.
    • Maintain a high level of on-time running.
    • Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives.
    • Provide high quality customer service to enable Aurizon to meet its set business objectives.

    About you:

    • Strong commitment to safety and Aurizon's safety strategy "I Know Safe, I Choose Safe"
    • Must be available to work a 24/7 shift roster
    • Experience working in any of the following Safe Working systems an advantage: NSW & Qld
    • Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience
    • A Certificate IV in Rail Operations (or equivalent)
    • Current unrestricted driver's licence
    • Route qualifications from Acacia Ridge to Parkes and Parkes to Sydney. (Highly desired)
