- Oversee day-to-day operations of the paper manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth production workflows.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet quality, quantity, and cost targets.
- Lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Monitor and optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among team members.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to streamline processes and resolve production issues.
- Analyze production data, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity.
- Tertiary qualified in Engineering discipline and/or experience working within the Pulp and Paper industry.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience.
- Computer literacy – MS Outlook, Word & Excel and SAP would be an advantage.
- A collaborative and hands on approach, and a natural ability to establish and maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can demonstrate your mechanical aptitude.
- You have a safety-first mindset and comply with OHS&E policies and procedures at all times.
