    About the Role


    BMD is in a significant growth phase in Queensland with a strong pipeline of projects in hand. We are looking for Estimators to price a range of diverse civil infrastructure projects. With access to best-in-industry systems and software tools, you will collaborate with pre-contract teams and deliver exceptional winning civil infrastructure and urban development bids across Australia and the Asia Pacific region. The role will be based out of our Port of Brisbane office. Responsibilities include:

    1. Review tender documents for scope of works, contract requirements, form of tender, and alternative design options.
    2. Oversee and assist in acquiring subcontractor quotations.
    3. Visit the site and discuss the proposed methods of work with Construction Managers and others.
    4. Oversee and assist in the preparation, checking, or measuring of schedules or bills of quantities.
    5. Build an estimate of direct costs and site overhead costs for each tender.
    6. Prepare a programme of works if required.
    7. Assess the risks and opportunities in the construction of the project.
    8. Participate in the tender review and prepare the final submission.
    9. Participate in the selection of projects to be tendered.

    Skills and Experience


    5+ years' experience in the Civil Construction industry in estimating

    First principle estimating experience

    Experience with the development of subcontractor work packages and review

    Exposure to Expert Estimation is desirable

    Civil Engineering degree (Site-based experience) Advantageous
