    Full time, ongoing vacancy in Alice Springs, NT

    The Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) provides essential corporate functions to the Northern Territory Government, efficiently and effectively enabling agencies to focus on their core business. Workforce Services are delivered to client agencies under a centralised services model across a geographically and culturally diverse environment. The Workforce Relations team provides support across a range of areas including Employee Relations, Workforce Health Management, Performance and Conduct, Recruitment and general HR support.

    As a Workforce Relations Officer you provide client-focussed end-to-end support and workforce relations services to assist client agencies manage their human resources requirements. Supporting a dedicated team of HR professionals you will participate and contribute to HR projects, and early intervention activities. Your knowledge of operational HR principles and your ability to interpret and apply legislation will enable client agencies make informed evidenced based decisions. In addition, you will coordinate and facilitate HR information sessions and develop strong working relationships with client agencies.

    To be successful, you require demonstrated knowledge and experience of operational HR management principles, a passion for delivering high level customer services, the ability and motivation to learn quickly and the flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the client. Very good interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills with the ability to apply empathy, exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality is essential. Sound Operational knowledge of employment legislation, HR Management systems and relevant studies in human resources or related field would be well regarded.
