    JOB DESCRIPTION

    OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • The On Site Representative (OSR) Provides quality transport and distribution services to the customer while maximising the profitability and productivity of the business.
    • To coordinate the operations of the distribution fleet operating out of the customers premises and coordinate the sortation and preparation of stock to be forwarded.
    • Provide a contact point for the delivery partners, customer and their stakeholders for customer service or operational queries.
    • Provide operational feedback and insight to the Courier Operations Manager.

    PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure all deliveries presented by the customer each day are allocated to suitable vehicles
    • Work closely with customer staff to develop efficiencies, meet KPI's and improve the customer – client relationship
    • Communicate allocation plans to stakeholders where required
    • Coordinate backup vehicles where required
    • Manage driver performance including leave and absenteeism across the site, escalating recurring issues to management in a timely manner
    • Deliver regular toolbox talks and ensure two-way communication with delivery partners
    • Facilitate training and development of drivers as required
    • Devise strategies to ensure service standards are met
    • Ensure all deliveries are completed within the allotted timeframes each day
    • Communicate any operational problems to the Operations Manager as soon as they are identified
    • Ensure delivery partner scanning and TED compliance
    • Facilitate POD retrieval from the drivers on the customers behalf
    • Where applicable, ensure driver compliance with the customers Cold-Chain and Restricted/Dangerous Drugs procedures and that drivers are responsible for the safe keeping of client cold-chain equipment
    • Ensure driver compliance to all customer and TGE policies and procedures, including HSE and Chain of responsibility obligations
    • Manage driver and vehicle presentation standards to ensure compliance with the customer's requirements
    • Respond to customer service or operational enquiries by the customer or their stakeholders quickly and effectively
    • Complete daily and weekly reports as required

    SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB

    • Ability to identify the fastest route from collection to delivery location.
    • Detailed knowledge of Team Global Express services and operations procedures.
    • Detailed knowledge and compliance with procedures.
    • The incumbent will have access to highly sensitive personnel and business data and information and must always demonstrate the highest level of confidentiality.
    • Detailed knowledge and commitment to the service level agreements.
    • Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety policies.
    • Fleet management and capacity planning
    • Ability to initiate and complete improvement projects
    • Time management to suit organisational objectives
    • Strategic thinking and planning
    • A sound knowledge of corporate human resource and administration policies and procedures.
    • Influencing drivers to follow business processes
    • Regular communication and liaison on related business activities
