- Contribute to the development of both maintenance and capital work programs by applying the relevant work management processes and through engagement with Asset Management Teams
- Ensure the delivery of work as defined by the relative Asset Management Strategy
- Work with schedulers to build and continually review work program schedules and forecast resource requirements
- Demonstrate control of maintenance and capital work programs by understanding variance to planned costs and schedules within the team and implementing actions to correct
- Take accountability for the delivery of the work activity program during both the operating season and planned shutdown periods
- Present and deliver reports relating to the management of the work program and other work management key performance indicators
- Ensure teams work to the relevant Asset Management Processes for planning, reliability, engineering and project delivery
- Actively engage, support and deliver multi region and companywide initiatives
- Of course, you must be qualified - Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience
- Been there before - Demonstrated application of structured business processes to achieve role goals and outcomes
- Walk the talk - Management and supervisory experience in a heavy industrial environment within maintenance and reliability
- Get the job done - Proficiency in the use of SAP (or similar) and have a high level of computer literacy

Wilmar Sugar owns and operates eight sugar mills in North Queensland. Our mills - located in the Herbert, Burdekin, Proserpine and Plane Creek regions - operate 24/7 during the crushing season, which typically runs from June to November. Outside of the crush, our teams are involved in an intensive repair, maintenance and innovation program to ensure our sugar mills continue to be safe and reliable, and among the most efficient in the world.

We currently have an opportunity for a Work Execution Superintendent to join us at our Proserpine Mill. Proserpine Mill is located just a 30-minute drive from Airlie Beach, providing the perfect balance of career opportunity mixed with the amazing North Queensland lifestyle.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Work Execution Superintendent role is responsible for leading the execution of maintenance and capital work at Proserpine Mill, along with supporting the delivery of other work execution activities throughout the region.
Working in cooperation with the Production Superintendent and Reliability Engineers, the core role responsibility is to lead teams in the application of business processes and systems to ensure the delivery of high standards of safety, productivity, efficiency and quality of work in a heavy engineering environment. This is an excellent opportunity for people with a structured and disciplined approach to managing teams to apply their strong work ethic and excellent communication skills to build a high performing team culture.
