    The Role
    Based out of HQ in Brisbane, this Senior P&C Business Partner will report to the Chief Legal Counsel. In this global role, you'll collaborate with leaders across APAC, NAM, and EMEA regions to support Megaport's growth. You'll lead, coach, and engage stakeholders, and be responsible for executing both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day operations.

    This role will have two direct reports, and as the Senior P&C team member in Brisbane, you'll coach and mentor the P&C team fostering strong business partnerships, and contribute to the company's overall success.

    What You'll Be Doing

      • Operate as a trusted advisor for senior leaders, influence key priorities and support critical organisational and employee-related challenges.
      • Continually assess the organisation's needs to optimise engagement, productivity, and performance excellence; proactively identify issues before they impact the business.
      • Manage two direct reports on the P&C team.
      • Coach and partner with leaders on people-related matters: the full employee lifecycle, nuances across countries, leadership and employee engagement; have a tangible impact on our culture, business performance and continuous improvement.
      • Proactively work with the senior leaders to implement and drive talent management programs to develop leadership capabilities, succession planning, high potential identification, etc.
      • Maintain in-depth knowledge of local legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring overall compliance with laws and regulations, working closely with the Legal team where required.
      • Consult with managers on people matters that require knowledge of policies, procedures and local legislation across multiple geographies, including performance management cases. Contribute to the continuous improvement of P&C processes, policies and HR systems, in support of driving greater efficiency and effectiveness for employees.
      • Collaborate with business leaders on HR activities like compensation reviews, talent management, and performance evaluations.
      • Provide generalist advice on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
      • Supervise payroll operations.
      • Guide managers in performance management and change processes.
      • Contribute to improving HR systems and policies.
      • Foster strong relationships with employees at all levels, and serve as a mentor and coach.
      • Be a Megaport Culture Champion; foster a culture of engagement, collaboration, innovation and improvement.
      • Lead and support broader P&C projects such as Employee Recognition and Engagement Surveys.
      • Support talent development programs aimed at attracting and retaining top-tier talent.

    What We Are Looking For

      • Extensive experience as a Senior Business Partner or HR Generalist within a commercial setting. Management/leadership experience preferred.
      • Comprehensive HR background; in-depth experience across the HR lifecycle, managing employee relations in multiple countries, and implementing operational best practices.
      • Creative and enthusiastic approach to delivering HR initiatives while operating with a strong work ethic, high level of integrity and a commitment to achieving excellence.
      • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; adept at influencing and building credibility across across all levels of organisation, developing a strong internal network.
      • Proficient in leveraging data analytics to develop people and organisational solutions, proactively mitigate risk, and enable informed decisions.
      • Tech-savvy; experience working with HRIS systems (Workday preferred), HR tools, Excel, etc.
      • Demonstrated strategic agility, business acumen, and ability to get things done; strong sense of urgency, self-starter and results driven.
      • Proven track record of managing multiple priorities with agility in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
      • Global mindset, comfortable collaborating with diverse teams across time zones.
