    Physiotherapist Grade 3 – Community Rehabilitation

    22. 8 hours per week (0.6 FTE)

    About the Role
    An opportunity currently exists for a Grade 3 Physiotherapist to join the HIP team on a permanent basis. The Grade 3 Physiotherapist will provide and deliver high quality person-centred, goal-orientated, home and centre-based community rehabilitation within a supportive multidisciplinary team. The position may be required to work within any of the HIP programs across the HIP sites.

    Duties

    • Provide clinical leadership in maintaining an evidence and outcomes based service
    • Maintain a clinical caseload in keeping with the needs of the service
    • Provide supervision and co-ordination of physiotherapy students
    • Provide supervision to Grade 2 Physiotherapists and Allied Health Assistants as required
    • Lead service improvement initiatives relevant to the HIP Physiotherapy service
    • Provide guidance, support, and supervision of physiotherapy staff within the HIP Community Rehabilitation program
    • Assess and manage all assigned clients as appropriate, according to HIP and St. Vincent's policies and procedures and relevant rehabilitation protocols
    • Maintain the appropriate standard of medical record keeping and data collection as per St. Vincent's and HIP policies

    Classifications for this position will range from VB7 – VC1 ($100,089 - $114,358 per annum, pro rata for part time).

    Your Contribution

    • Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent
    • Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
    • Minimum of eight (8) years post-graduate experience in a relevant field of rehabilitation and or community based service
    • Demonstrated highly developed clinical management skills as appropriate to Physiotherapy practice
    • Demonstrated highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills that incorporate excellent communication
    • Demonstrated commitment to service improvement and professional development
    • Well-developed teaching and supervision skills
    • Current Victorian driver's licence

    About the Department
    The Community Rehabilitation programs consist of the Community Rehabilitation Centres at Kew and Fairfield and the Rehabilitation in the Home team. The programs offer a supportive and dynamic team environment which focusses on patient-centred care.

    Community Rehabilitation form part of the SVHM Health Independence Programs (HIP) which also incorporate Complex care services and Specialist Outpatient clinics.
