    Description

    Based out of our Laverton Branch, we are currently seeking to appoint an Inventory and Pricing Specialist to support in ensuring efficient inventory management, optimising pricing strategies, and maximizing profitability. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, maintaining healthy inventory levels, and achieving financial targets.

    You will be responsible for analysing and managing inventory levels and pricing processes to optimise profitability and ensure adequate stock availability. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to identify trends and patterns in data. You will have a deep understanding of inventory management principles, pricing strategies, and possess excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor inventory levels, replenishment, and demand forecasts to optimize stock availability while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory
  • Collaborate with vendors and supply chain teams to ensure efficient inventory flow and reduce stockouts or overstock situations
  • Implement and communicate the businesses inventory control measures, such as reorder points, cycle counts, safety stock levels, and economic order quantities
  • Conduct pricing analysis to determine optimal price points, considering factors such as market trends, competitor pricing, and product positioning
  • Monitor pricing performance and conduct regular price reviews and updates to ensure alignment with business objectives while evaluating the impact of pricing changes on sales volume, revenue, and profitability
  • Utilise advanced analytical tools and techniques to extract insights and provide recommendations from large datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations, to understand business requirements and align inventory and pricing strategies with organizational goals.
  • Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, finance, or a related experience
  • Proven experience as an inventory analyst, pricing analyst, or a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
  • Advanced knowledge of inventory management principles, pricing strategies, and statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in using analytical tools, such as Excel, and data visualization software
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex analysis and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • This role involves travelling across multiple sites across Melbourne, hence a valid drivers licence is essential
