    Description
    • Job Title: Safety Officer
    • Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 (p.a.)

    About the Role:

    The Safety Officer is a critical position responsible for ensuring that Workplace Health and Safety Systems and processes across Central Australian Aboriginal Congress are current, user-intuitive, meet legislative business requirements, and are integrated into existing business practices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring WHS legal and system requirement changes are identified, updated and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
    • Maintaining and monitoring safety management systems to ensure they are fit for purpose and aligned to legislative requirements.
    • Coordinating WHS promotional activities across the organisation.
    • Providing advice around WHS matters including policy and procedures, incident management and safety conditions.
