Job DescriptionSGS seeks anElectrical Fluid Analystto oversee operations at our electrical oil testing laboratory located in Perth Airport, WA.
This is a full time permanent posiiotn.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
Coordinating all activities within the electrical oils testing laboratory, including analysis, result interpretation, commenting, recommending, and issuing final reports to clients.
Ensuring efficient sample throughput with time management and quality assurance.Engaging in routine operational meetings and training sessions.
Maintaining client communication and adherence to their sampling schedules.
With minimal supervision and a degree of independence, initiative and judgment, undertake in-depth analysis and interpretation of the results of analysis of electrical oils.
Ensure that required KPI's are met through continual monitoring and weekly reporting of laboratory team performanceIdentification and reporting of operational and procedural improvement opportunities and implementation thereof with support of the Line Manager
Monitor and maintain QA/QC, NATA and Health & Safety requirements
Carry out scheduled instrument calibration and maintenance in accordance with written procedures and certification requirement.
QualificationsRelevant Tertiary / Technical qualifications.
Significant Practical Experience within the high-voltage power industry, specifically with Power Transformer condition monitoring, testing and/or maintenance.
Experience in the analysis of electrical insulating oils as well as an in-depth knowledge of the various types of oil-filled electrical equipment.
Understanding of general laboratory operations, QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation and compliance requirements.Proficient computer software literacy
