    The Role

    This is a wonderful opportunity for a motivated, relationship driven manager to lead a team of Operations Managers to support multidisciplinary teams to deliver therapeutic residential care services and provide a culturally safe and supportive environment where young people can heal and grow. The role reports to the Director of Child Youth & Family Services for New South Wales.

    The role will be responsible for the delivery of services in Sydney, Bathurst, Orange and Dubbo for Young People being supported in Intensive Therapeutic Care Services (ITC). Intensive Therapeutic Care is a residential care model supporting young people aged 12 and over with identified high and complex needs. These young people are either unable to be supported in foster care or require specialised and intensive supports to maintain stable care arrangements.

    The role can be based in Sydney or Western NSW (Bathurst, Orange or Dubbo) with regular travel required across the region.

    Responsibilities

    • Encourage and model collaboration amongst teams to achieve high quality out of home care services
    • Oversee the delivery, quality and compliance of services and program activities including implementation of new services
    • Support, coach, motivate and develop team members
    • Build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders and funding and accreditation bodies
    • Establish collaborative partnerships with Aboriginal Controlled Corporations to support the implementation of Out of Home Care Reform
    • Develop and implement business development activities and program growth strategies
    • Meet relevant statutory regulations, funding agreements and accreditation standards
    • Ensure continuous improvement, clinical governance, manage risk and operational budgets

    Skills Required

    To succeed in this critical leadership role, you will be an energetic, passionate leader with extensive experience in the management of human services programs within residential Out of Home Care or similar complex residential service delivery environments. You will demonstrate:

    • High level facilitation, team leadership and ability to manage and support staff
    • Experience supporting young people with a diverse range of backgrounds and challenges
    • Strong ability to connect and quickly establish relationships with key stakeholders
    • Commitment to Reconciliation and delivery of culturally sensitive leadership and services
    • Experience working within a statutory framework and knowledge of legislation and regulation for care
    • Financial and risk management expertise
    • Tertiary level qualifications in social work, psychology or related clinical field, or equivalent business management field
