    Maryvale Paper Mill is a complex electrical facility with over 50 HV/LV substations, 150 Transformers, 4000+ electrical motors, 600+ VSD's, 100+ DCS/PLC controllers with an excess of I/O controlling and monitoring all types of process instruments supported by 50MW onsite electrical power generation via steam turbines.

    Become an integral part of the onsite Electrical & Automation Engineering team consisting of 15+ Electrical, Control System and Automation Engineers. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for maintaining and fault finding the high voltage and low voltage power distribution system on site.

    You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

    • Perform power system and protection coordination studies utilising eTAP
    • Complete electrical designs and equipment specifications
    • Fault find and investigate electrical disturbances, faults and incidents
    • Hands on involvement in the testings and commissioning of high voltage equipment
    • Lead and support improvement project teams with Electrical Engineering knowledge, skills and experience in order to achieve world-class outcomes
    • Ensure compliance to all statutory requirements related to the assets and the performance of maintenance.

    • Minimum of 10 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer in a relevant heavy industry.
    • Knowledge in Electrical Legislative Requirements.
    • Must be eligible or currently registered.
    • Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
    • Ability to troubleshoot control systems, process and electrical faults on equipment.
    • Demonstrated commitment to safety, health and the environment.
