    We are seeking an experiences and passionate Registered Nurse - Grade 2 to join our team in a part time or casual capacity as an Anaesthetic Nurse

    West Wimmera Health Service provides high-quality hospital care, residential aged care, disability services and community health facilities to more than 22,000 people in the West Wimmera region.

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • The Anaesthetic nurse is there to assist the Anaesthetist and Surgeon at all times. The responsibilities of the Anaesthetic nurse are to check the patient's vital health signs before surgery and after surgery in terms of body temperature, respiratory rate, pulse rate and blood pressure.


    KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
    Essential:

    • Effective communication and organisational skills
    • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.

    Desirable:

    • Undergo training sessions regarding Anaesthesia.

    Pre-requsities:

    • NDIS Worker screening clearance.
    • Working with Children's Check
    • Vaccinated for COVID-19.
    • Influenza vaccination.
    • Australian Driver's License.


    KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

    • To support the organisation to deliver quality services.
    • To be well aware of vital signs shown by the patient who are about to be treated with anaesthetic, such as body temperature, respiratory rate, pulse rate and blood pressure.
    • The Anaesthetic nurse is also expected to be well trained in post Anaesthetic care and post-surgical care provided to the patients.
