    About the Role:
    Reporting to the Director, you will be a key member of the team and will work closely with senior managers, staff, volunteers, partners, and external stakeholders to align health and wellbeing strategy and services to whole-of-government, departmental, and divisional objectives. The Executive Manager, is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team in the planning, design, delivery, and review of health and wellbeing programs, projects, and other initiatives, fostering positive working relationships and partnerships on safety, wellbeing, and injury management issues.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the analysis, design, and implementation of best practice approaches, policy, procedure, and guidelines for health and wellbeing initiatives and solutions.
    • Undertake management activities including operational and strategic planning, workflow, performance, and quality management.
    • Provide high-level strategic advice and guidance to senior management on health and wellbeing policy and practice to ensure governance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
    • Research and prepare complex submissions, briefs, reports, and correspondence to support the delivery of human capital policy and strategy outcomes.
    • Establish and maintain collaborative networks and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to promote positive outcomes.
    • Represent on committees, working groups, and whole-of-government forums.
    • Manage and oversee investigations and projects to ensure timeframes and deliverables are achieved.
    • Build capability in a team environment through coaching others, providing performance feedback, conflict resolution, and encouraging career development.

    About You:

    • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing health and wellbeing programs in a complex organisation.
    • Strong understanding of best practice approaches, policy, procedure, and guidelines for health and wellbeing initiatives.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Proven ability to provide strategic advice and guidance to senior management.
    • Ability to build and maintain collaborative networks and partnerships.
    • Relevant qualifications in health, safety, or a related field.
