Chef / Food Supervisor – Childcare Centre

Location: 898 Toorak Road, Camberwell VIC

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 2:00pm

Employment Type: Part-time (fixed hours)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Chef / Food Supervisor to join our childcare centre in Camberwell. This role is responsible for preparing nutritious meals for children and maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards in line with regulatory requirements.

This is a stable, weekday-only role suited to someone who values structure, consistency, and a family-friendly working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea for children
• Plan and cook nutritious, age-appropriate meals
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Maintain kitchen records, including temperature and cleaning logs
• Manage dietary requirements and allergy considerations
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
• Work independently within established routines and policies

Essential Requirements

• Experience as a Chef, Cook, or Food Supervisor (childcare experience preferred but not essential)
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene practices
• Valid Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
• Reliable, organised, and able to commit to consistent Monday–Friday hours
