    Are you looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic and driven team dedicated to making a real impact on young people who are in care? If so, here is a perfect opportunity for you. We are looking to fill a vacant role for one of the residential sites based in the Southern suburbs of Adelaide.

    As a House Supervisor of one of our residential care houses, you will lead and supervise a small team of Therapeutic Youth Workers and coordinate the day-to-day functions of the house to ensure that service delivery meets service agreements. Your previous experience working with children and adolescents at risk coupled with an understanding of appropriate responses for trauma-related behaviours will play a key part in achieving positive outcomes.

    Your sound communication and interpersonal skills will be highly valued in strengthening stakeholder internal and external relationships. If you are a natural people leader who likes a high-paced role where every day brings not only variety but a chance to create positivity.

    Working Monday to Friday, you will work closely with the Manager of Operations to lead a consistent, well-trained, and stable team by providing effective support and supervision to the team. You will also be a source of support and direction for the case management of our children, ultimately guiding the creation of a safe, homelike environment to promote positive attitudes and lifestyle choices of young people.

    About You:

    We are seeking a highly driven person who:

    • Has an understanding of relevant statutory requirements and legislation for children under the Guardianship of the Chief Executive and supported accommodation
    • Has sound communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership capability
    • Has an understanding of working with children and young people with complex and challenging behaviour and child development and the impacts of trauma on children and young people
    • Has an understanding of social justice principles – including equity of access, discrimination and equal opportunity, individuals rights and privacy
    • Holds a degree or tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or relevant equivalent (or lesser qualification complemented by substantial relevant experience)
