    Job Description
    As a key member of the NIQ team, you will lead the strategy and commercial development for our largest retail client relationships. Your primary goal is to drive the retention and growth of these partnerships by understanding the needs of our clients and aligning them with NIQ's Retail strategy.

    Key functions of this role include developing recommendations and strategies for renewals, including solutions and terms that address current and future needs. You will collaborate across internal teams to gain an understanding of client health, assess what is needed to continue the partnership, and evaluate how to improve deal terms to be more favorable to NIQ. In addition, you will ensure deals are accurate, timely, and best deliver against the strategy developed for both the retailer and NIQ.

    To be successful in this role, you must have strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of contractual terms, adept financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a tenacious appetite to drive ambitious deals to favorable outcomes.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan renewal opportunities in advance year to year to set goals and objectives.
    • Assess and track client health to identify and mitigate potential risks and liabilities associated with renewals.
    • Develop the renewal strategy for retail renewals.
    • Lead the analysis and preparation of contract renewals and Competitive Request for Proposals (RFP).
    • Coach and consult internal teams regarding the generation of the deal, financial drivers, and negotiation tactics.
    • Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams to align the strategy.
    • Effectively challenge and influence internal teams.
    • Understand NIQ's corporate strategy to aid in the process and proposed solutions.
    • Partner with account leads to develop win themes aligning client priorities to NIQ.
    • Review and interpret contract terms and conditions.
    • Negotiate agreements with clients and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure contracts comply with requirements.
    • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to develop contract terms.

    Qualifications

    • Clear and concise communication skills to effectively engage with senior leaders.
    • Skilled at motivating others to work toward a specific vision.
    • Self-starter, extremely motivated to achieve outcomes on firm deadlines.
    • Familiarity with NielsenIQ solutions, tools, and applications.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

    • Experience with contract negotiations.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret complex information and contracts.
